A new resident moves in Hayvenhurst, Bubbles the chimp. He becomes Michael’s constant companion!
Michael accepts to star in Captain EO, a 3D short film produced by Disney. He visits George Lucas at his Skywalker Ranch and records two songs for the project.

January 28: Michael arrives first at A&M Recording Studio to record a vocal chorus with Quincy Jones. Later 44 other artists joins him directly from the American Music Awards and they spend the all night recording the song together.
